The three-day “MEHAU Cup” KPF Korea Open recently concluded in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, South Korea. As an official sponsor of the 2026 UPA season and a globally leading pickleball brand, MEHAU partnered with the Korea Pickleball Federation (KPF) to deliver a highly competitive, internationally engaging, and brand-driven event.

The tournament drew a strong mix of local Korean players as well as international pickleball enthusiasts. Throughout the event, MEHAU branding was highly visible—from the tournament title sponsorship and official game balls to on-site visual displays and athlete equipment. The brand achieved significant exposure within Korea’s rapidly growing pickleball community.

Chuncheon: Korea’s Ideal Outdoor Sports Destination
Chuncheon, often celebrated as “the most livable city in Korea,” offered perfect conditions for an outdoor sporting event in May. Nestled among lakes, mountains, and bathed in morning sunlight, the city created a unique and inviting atmosphere for players and spectators alike.
The tournament was held at the Major Tennis Club, featuring 14 international-standard courts. Over the course of three days, the venue hosted an intensive schedule of matches and drew enthusiastic audiences.

The competition included 28 divisions spanning multiple age categories (19+, 50+, 60+) and skill levels, with events such as:
Men’s Singles
Women’s Singles
Men’s Doubles
Women’s Doubles
Mixed Doubles
From high-level open divisions to recreational categories, the tournament showcased the vitality and rapid growth of pickleball in Korea.
MEHAU: Official Game Balls and Core Brand Partner
As the official game ball provider and a core sponsor, MEHAU was prominently featured throughout the tournament. On-site branding, equipment displays, and paddle testing opportunities allowed players to engage with the MEHAU product lineup firsthand.

Feedback from participants highlighted that MEHAU paddles are gaining strong recognition among Korean players. The S5 flagship paddle, the X Series emphasizing power and stability, and the E Series designed for precise control all attracted significant attention and hands-on trials.
For MEHAU, the tournament represented more than a sponsorship—it was a key step in officially entering the Korean and broader Northeast Asian markets.

Pickleball’s Rapid Growth in Asia
In recent years, pickleball has been expanding quickly across Asia. Participation continues to rise in Korea, Japan, China, and Southeast Asia, with both professional and recreational tournaments increasing steadily. As one of the fastest-growing sports globally, pickleball is gradually creating a new wave of popularity outside its North American origins, with Asia becoming a key growth region.

MEHAU has been actively strengthening its international presence in this context. After becoming an official sponsor of the UPA (USA Pickleball Association), the brand has appeared in numerous international events and professional circuits. From supporting pro athletes to partnering with global open tournaments and promoting pickleball in Asia, MEHAU is steadily building a global pickleball brand footprint.

First-Hand Engagement Builds Brand Impact
During the Korea Open, many players, spectators, and local pickleball enthusiasts experienced the MEHAU brand for the first time. For a rapidly growing international sport, establishing brand influence depends not only on product quality but also on event culture, on-site experience, and real-world competition visibility.
The “MEHAU Cup” KPF Korea Open has become a cornerstone for MEHAU in Korea. With the successful conclusion of the tournament, the brand’s international expansion continues. MEHAU plans to further deepen its presence in the global pickleball market through professional tournament partnerships, athlete support, and regional promotion across Asia. These initiatives aim to allow more players to experience the performance and quality of professional pickleball equipment.

From China, to Asia, to the World
MEHAU continues to bring the passion for pickleball to an ever-expanding global audience, delivering high-quality equipment and promoting the sport across international markets. The journey from China to Asia and beyond is underway, as MEHAU continues to write its story on the world’s pickleball stage.
